What is a C.V.T. ?
C.V.T. (continuously variable transmission) is an advanced form of automatic transmission, the mechanism that transfers the power from your car's engine to the drive axle, which turns the wheels. How is a C.V.T. better than an automatic Transmission?
A C.V.T. is better in several ways beginning with the fuel savings and the positive impact to the environment which are it's most important features. How does a C.V.T. achieve fuel savings:
It does that by controlling the engines speed so that it always runs at it's efficient R.P.M.
C.V.T. controls the engine rpm, by continously making input / output microadjustments to match the speed of the car with that of the the engine. Its like having a transmission with an infinite number of gears.
By contrast, traditional automatic transmissions have between 3 to 5 gears, and they shift between them at preset combinations of engine rpm. car speed and torque requirement. This practice allows the engine to run either above or below its optimum (best efficiency) rpm, this way wasting fuel and creating more pollution than it would otherwise.

As mentioned C.V.T. causes your engine to run at its optimum rpm, which translates to a more complete fuel combustion, which in turn means a CLEANER EXHAUST.
A cleaner exhaust falls in line with the "Clean Air Act of 1991", as well as with the latest International efforts against air pollution in order to prevent further Global warming. In what other ways is C.V.T. superior to a traditional transmission ?
C.V.T. has fewer parts than a traditional transmissions and this results in:
a) Slimmer chances for breakdown
b) Lower weight
c) Less power loss due to friction
d) Lower manufacturing cost
e) Can be inexpensively manufactured in various shapes and sizes for use in a number of applications other than automobiles. see Applications, marketsYou are invited to E-mail us your questions. We'll do our best to give you an answer and may include them in this page.
